This page explains how TimeRespect handles information when you use the app. If you are viewing this from Google Play, this is the app's public privacy policy URL.
Summary
- Offline by design: the app does not use a network connection for anything.
- On-device storage: text is stored locally (SQLite) and media is stored locally (device/app storage).
- No ads and no third-party analytics are used to track you.
- Optional sharing: you may export/share a backup file only when and where you choose to.
Information Collected
TimeRespect stores information you choose to enter (for example reminders, journal entries, personal goals, and optional attached media). This data is stored locally on your device.
TimeRespect does not require an account, and the app does not upload your app data to any TimeRespect servers.
Permissions
Depending on what features you use, the app may request device permissions such as:
- Notifications — to remind you at times you choose
- Photos / Files — to attach and store media in your journal
- Microphone — to record audio entries, if you use that feature
- Location (precise, one-time) — to determine your coordinates for prayer time calculation, if that feature is enabled. The coordinates are stored only on your device and never transmitted anywhere.
How Information Is Used
- To provide the core features of the app (reminders, journaling, time tools).
- To schedule and display local notifications you request.
- To store your preferences so the app behaves consistently.
Notifications
If you enable notifications, TimeRespect schedules local notifications on your device. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings or within the app.
Third-Party Software
TimeRespect is built using Capacitor, an open-source framework that provides access to native device features (camera, filesystem, notifications). No third-party advertising SDKs, analytics libraries, or crash-reporting services are included in the app.
Data Security
All data is stored using SQLite on your device and is only accessible by the app. Media files (photos, audio) are stored in the app's private storage directory. No data is transmitted over the network by the app itself.
Data Sharing
TimeRespect does not sell your personal information.
The app does not share your data with third parties by default. If you use a device sharing feature (for example, exporting/sharing a backup), the data is shared only at your direction with the app/service you choose.
Data Retention & Deletion
Your data stays on your device until it is deleted or the app is uninstalled.
- Individual entries (reminders, journal entries, goals) can be deleted from within the app.
- To delete all app data: go to your device Settings → Apps → TimeRespect → Storage → Clear Data.
- Uninstalling the app also removes all locally stored app data from the device.
Children
TimeRespect is designed for teens and adults who want to improve time management and daily habits. The app is not specifically targeted at children. If a child uses the app, the same privacy principles apply: data is stored locally on the device unless the user chooses to export/share a backup.
